Green Flag

Clondrinagh N.S. officially became a Green-School in May 2012, when we were awarded our first green flag for the theme of Litter and Waste.
The aim of Green-Schools is to increase the whole schools’ awareness of environmental issues and to encourage everyone into positive environmental action in school and also in the wider community.
In May 2014, we were awarded our second Green Flag for completing the programme on the theme of Energy Awareness.
In May 2016 we were delighted to be awarded our third flag for the theme of Water.
In May 2018 we got the fourth flag for the theme of Travel!!
Green-schools is a long term programme which is based on an award system. There are a number of themes the programme deals with. We are currently working on the fifth theme of Biodiversity.

Here are some photographs from our action day which took place earlier this year.
